Functions and Applications:

This product is a zero-VOC colorless transparent liquid that is miscible with many organic solvents. It exhibits excellent permeability and delivers superior overall performance compared to isophorone (commonly known as 783), DBE, and benzyl alcohol, making it a fully substitutable alternative. As a zero-VOC solvent, PEPH demonstrates outstanding solvency for various resins including acrylic resin, nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, epoxy resin, alkyd resin, and phenoxy resin.

Classified as a substance of low toxicity and free of heavy metals such as Pb, it is widely used as a solvent and modifier for toy coatings, paints, inks, and ballpoint pens; a penetrating agent for stamp pad inks; an anti-clogging agent for screen printing inks; a penetrating and antibacterial agent in detergents; and a film-forming aid in water-based coatings. As a dye solvent, it enhances the solvency of PVC plasticizers. Leveraging its strong dissolving power, it serves as a plasticizer in leather surface treatment, a surface treatment agent for cleaning printed circuit boards and plastics, and a fragrance preservative and diluent in cosmetics. It is an ideal solvent for parabens and an optimal solvent and penetration enhancer for hair dye colorants and nail polish pigments. In automotive coatings, it functions as a solvent and diluent, improving leveling and enhancing film gloss. It can also be used as an intermediate raw material for UV resins and as an anesthetic. In the petroleum industry, it is employed as an extraction agent. Additional applications include UV-curing agents and liquid chromatography mobile phases. In textile dyeing and printing auxiliaries, it serves as a raw material for products such as deoiling agents, leveling agents, and repair agents.
